Social Media Director (or Manager) – FILM, TV, Theatre, Music, Gaming – London – £40-60k
ARE YOU A FILM BUFF? Love TV? Celebrity spotter in your spare time? If you are a culture vulture and you have at least six years social media experience within a PR capacity then I’d love to hear from you.
The number one integrated entertainment in the UK needs a new wiz kid to head up it’s social media offering. It’s a small and growing team that will sit within the Creative team (which includes production, content creation, editiing, etc) and will be responsible for working closely with all the teams within the agency: TV, Film, Music, Gaming, Theatre, Music & Dance, Live events. Your role will be to seek out social media opportunities and then define the strategy for each campaign (for example a film launch on the red carpet together with talent interviews) and work with your team of two direct reports to deliver it. Much of the work will clearly be project based, meaning that you’ll have a lovely variety of campaigns to produce at one time and never get bogged down in a retainer!
The agency is based in Central London – it has a huge personal publicity team as well so some of your work will be managing the social media accounts of A list celebrities and making sure sensible posts are being produced !
You will need to have five or six years experience perhaps beginning in a more traditional pr capacity before moving over to social media… you will know social inside out: platforms, new technologies, things that work and things that don’t as well as the rules of working within this sphere. Lastly it would be very beneficial if you are either a film buff who is working within consumer brands or better still that you are within the entertainment field right now.
